Day 1: Christchurch to Queenstown (via Southern Alps & Lakes)
Starting in Christchurch the garden city and gateway to the South Island of New Zealand we travel to Queenstown the Adventure Capital of NZ and one of the most well-known picture postcard scenery locations in NZ. Your dream holiday will start with an amazing day of touring, we will visit Edoras nestled deep in the high country, it is one of the most glorious locations of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. View the Pelennor battle fields from ‘The Return of the King’, the River Anduin and location for the Pillars of the Kings before arriving at spectacular Queenstown the adventure capital of New Zealand 4 star accommodation awaits you in central Queenstown with an extensive range of dining options and shops to explore.

Day 2: Te Anau and Milford Sound (Fiordland)
Visit the beautiful Fiordland World Heritage Park. Travel to the spectacular Milford Sound an ecological and natural wonderland that will take your breath away. Enjoy an exciting adventure exploring the mighty Fiords on a Milford Sound boat cruise where you can see waterfalls, dolphins, seals and much more, overnighting in Te Anau with time to relax and enjoy the town on the edge of Lake Te Anau (New Zealand’s second largest lake) option to experience an evening glow worm tour.

Day 3: Queenstown and Surrounds
Time to enjoy some local Queenstown attractions before your afternoon Lord of the Rings Tour to discover the back country scenery of Glenorchy and the Dart River visit the filming locations for Isengard, the Ithilien Camp, Lothlorien forest and the Seat of Seeing/ Battle of Amon Hen, plus filming locations from The Hobbit trilogy! This scenic safari offers breathtaking mountain and forest views along the shore of Lake Wakatipu towards Glenorchy and the Paradise Valley. Beyond Glenorchy travel up the Dart Valley to the filming location for Isengard, set amongst snow-capped mountains beside the turquoise waters of the Dart River This setting offers views of Mt Earnslaw and its hanging glacier, used in the first instalment of The Hobbit trilogy. Explore the Paradise Forest, the location for the Forest of Lothlorien. Leaving Glenorchy and returning towards Queenstown we stop at 12 Mile Delta to explore the location of the Ithilien Camp.

Day 4: Queenstown - tour finishes after lunch; either stay om in Queenstown or return to Christchurch with your guide
9.30 am Pick up from your hotel. You may like to enjoy the world famous, thrilling Shotover Jet Boat ride with 30 minutes of action packed, adrenaline pumping fun or add the scenic Gondola ride (Cable car) one of the steepest in the world to the Skyline Queenstown and take in the spectacular mountain and lake views. As your tour ends after lunch either stay on in Queenstown or return to Christchurch with your guide
